Korea Trip - Jeonju, Seoul (Day 6)

3rd January 2010

Breakfast in hotel... i know ... what a mix~ ha seriously there is nothing nice available~ -_-
In schedule it says: This morning, stroll leisurely along The Heritage Park where you will get to learn more about the South Korean’s origins and the traditions.
In reality, we just managed to run half a round in the park and dash back into our heater warmed coach. The weather and wind is too chill for any outdoor activities... as you can see there is no one accept us in the park..
Fully frozen river

I fall down on my knee and twisted my angle again, this time off the stairs.. my knee cap bleed even though i was wearing jeans.. and it really hurts!! I thought "Shit! i am suppose to ski today"
No translation to any of the stone scripture here, everything is in Korean! Why Chan brother squeeze in such stupid itinerary.
Lee family

Overview of surname park
After which we proceed to Samsung Yongjin Everland
We skip out again to join PeiYe and Leehoon for some serious snowboarding action at Yangji Ski resort not far away~
Took a cab, fetch Leehoon then met up with PY and Zhongwei @ Yangji
On the way to ski equipment rental shop

Insanity must have pumped into my brain. I decide to snowboard with my injured knee (which i can hardly rotate)! Full set rental at about $60+ which include a half day (4hours) entrance ticket
Peiye's 2nd time at Yangji, she 爱屋及乌 kept falling also can get addicted to snowboarding -.-
Peiye with her ultra short fingers glove
Busy camwhoring while the guys go settle the bills
Quite packed due to peak season

Leehoon is good in this.. he once stayed a season in a ski resort mastering this! As for the rest of us, we are rookie... esp the 0% 运动神经 cant even get up on my tied-on-snowboard-feet. Tried two round with my personal coach (Leehoon) and decide to take break so he can teach the rest new tricks.
Me and my best friend Odeng soup.
Yangji ski resort is another tourist unfriendly place, there is no English on the menu board. Lucky, with my very little ability to read some bit and pieces of the Korean characters i managed to puzzle those circle and square characters up and got my food.

Kimari again~ :) this time i followed leehoon advise to dip kimari into odeng soup .. i mean i have to.. these kimari they served here are so oily~
Savoring my food slowly while waiting for the guys
Spend sometime exploring the place myself
The advance slope
After 4-5 rounds, the husband came down with the rest
The husband decide to company me while the rest took up the advance slope challange
Going home. This is not our day, we cant manage to hitch any ride down the hill and it's getting dark, not possible to walk, had no choice but to call cab down to the city bus interchange.
Purchasing our $3 bus ticket back to Seoul
The guys getting some Hottok (Cinnamon rice cake) to ease our stomach.. Inho's favourite**

Journey back to Seoul was only about 40min include stopover. We are chatting all the way throughout the trip with endless of gossips, update, bitching.. soon we reached Seoul.
Hwangs' treat at BBQ restaurant in Dongdaemum
We had BBQ Sam gyup sal (pork belly) and Karbi sal (rib)

Look at that generous portion of meat and their lovely marbling of fats! Woot~ Karbi mad love!
Best panchan (free side dish) i tried... I dont know how they do the shrimp but taste super good!
BBQ karbi wrap
Celine and Peiye @ Dongdaemum
Dont blame for the stone expression, i was forced to take this pic!
*no one camwhore on Korea street like what we do in Singapore.. very malu*
Waved and hugged goodbye before the husband company me to shop at ACP shopping mall (a mall like our far east) recommended by Peiye.

My Loots.. Price aren't cheap but quality is there :)
Spend about 2hr and $300 here!!!! Best buy would definitely be my formal coat + skirt set.. It's only $100! Formal material with chic cut... :) Mad love!!
Checking into our tour package hotel (10min from Dongdaemum)
Chestnut Milk - The best milk i ever drink!! How i wish Seoul Mart bring this into Singapore!!!
Am craving for more!!!
